Exclusive to Agrowplow, the #9 Shank Assembly boasts innovative and unique features that make it excellent for tackling your hardpan compaction issues in tough soil conditions. Deep ripping helping roots to penetrate the soil deeper and faster, absorbing more moisture, capturing more nutrients, and boosting crop yield.
The #9 shank is strong and smart, featuring a sturdy, narrow profile to maximise hardpan shattering without the ill-effects of unintended soil inversion. Full-length shinguards protect the full face of the shank, preventing it from excessive wear and tear.
The #9 Shank can be fitted with additional shank options, such as coulters, inclusion plates, mulch blades, sweeps, and furrowers to increase the versatility and productivity of your plough.

Up to a massive 6,214 kg (13,690 lbs) breakout at the blade on rigid assemblies with shearpin operation.
The hydraulic assembly supports up to 1,846 kg (4,070 lbs) breakout at the blade.
Clever design.
The #9 hydraulic shank features a unique scissoring breakout action. This mechanism sees the shank break back along a wide radial arc, rather than pivoting from a single point. This action prevents stubborn trash from catching the blade and damaging the assembly.
A new standard.
The #9 Shank Assembly comes as standard on new AP52, AP72, AP82, AP91 and AP92 deep rippers as well as the CP62 cotton plough.

Upgrade any Plough
The #8-9 Hybrid Shank Assembly enables farmers and contractors to harness the benefits of Agrowplow’s #9 blades and shinguards on legacy Agrowplow’s fitted with the older #8 Shank Assembly.
The assembly can be retrofitted to third-party ploughs with supported RHS sizes, so non-Agrowplow owners can experience the superior ripping performance the #9 blades provide.
Unique to Agrowplow, the #9 Blades are the superior ripping point for your plough. The heavy-duty points are available with different finishes such as hard-wearing tungsten rock teeth, and hardfacing.
This point comes standard on all #9 assemblies and is suited to most soils and conditions except rocky terrain. It comes with 3 x heavy-duty rock teeth across the leading edge of the blade, as well as 5 tungsten tiles to protect and prolong it’s working life. The blade is hardfaced, with an additional 6 welds on the underside to help with wear in sandier soils.
The bizalloy wings widen the footprint to 200 mm and are hard-faced to prolong their life. This blade enhances the soil lift and shattering of subsurface compaction.
